Every once in a while I think it’s fun to share a few of my favorite apps I’m loving.  I’ve written before about some of my favorite apps.  Here’s 4 Favorite Apps that I’m currently using that make my life easier.  If they help you too, that would be awesome!

1. Email by EasilyDO

After hitting a wall with the built in Mail app on my iPhone, I went looking for a new email app that would be better!  After trying a few & being disappointed, I found the Email app by EasilyDo!  This is by far my favorite email app I’ve ever used on my devices.

Here’s why…

  • I can view my multiple email accounts in one stream.
  • I can swipe left & right to quickly archive, mark an email as read/unread, or snooze an email.  I love this feature!
  • It comes with a built in assistant that gathers emails into categories like Packages, Travel, Receipts & Subscriptions  for me.
  • One of my favorite features… I can easily Unsubscribe from unwanted email lists with one click!  It’s so much easier than trying to unsubscribe to each list by clicking through to each unsubscribe website.

2. TripMate by HooToo

corey trevathan 4 Favorite Apps Tech I love this app for our kids, but anyone could use & enjoy this, especially if you’re a movie lover.  But first, you’ll need this device called a HooToo.  Here’s why you need it.  You can load all your movies onto a usb drive, plug it into the HooToo, then through the TripMate app you can watch your movies across any of your devices!  The HooToo gives you a WiFi signal your devices can connect to & will stream your videos to your devices!  What’s even more awesome?  You can watch up to 5 different movies at one time from the HooToo.  So, for example, when we travel & we let our kids have screen
time in the car we simply turn on the HooToo.  They get their devices, connect to the WiFi (happens corey trevathan 4 Favorite Apps Tech automatically after the first time), open the app & each kid can watch a different movie while we ride!  Best invention ever!

BONUS: Here’s a bonus tip.  If you’re wondering how we get our movie from DVD onto a usb Drive that the HooToo can read, it’s simple.  Download the free HandBrake app.  This will allow you to copy your movies to your computer’s hard drive.  Then just drag & drop those movie files onto your usb drive & your done.  Here’s the usb drive I bought. It’s small in size but has a ton of space for movies!  So get your DVDs, copy them to your computer with Handbrake, move them to a usb drive, put that usb drive into your HooToo & you can watch your movies on any device with the TripMate app!

3. WordSwag

corey trevathan 4 Favorite Apps Tech This is another great typography app I’ve been using for several months.  It’s easy to use, has a great collection of stock images, great fonts & it allows me to quickly create graphics for this blog, for Instagram, for Keynote slides, etc.  The ways you can use it are endless.  It’s quick, easy, beautiful & fun to use.

4. Voicepaper

corey trevathan 4 Favorite Apps Tech I recently became a fan of Voicepaper.  Voicepaper is a text to speech app.  This is a great app that allows me to use time twice which I’m also a big fan of!  Here’s how I use it… I work in an app called Evernote everyday.  It’s where I write sermons, blogs, notes… pretty much everything.  It’s my digital brain.  Voice paper reads those notes from Evernote back to me.  So if i’m preparing to speak on Sunday, I can put in my earbuds, take off on a run, a bike ride, or go cut the grass & listen to the notes I’ve typed up.  Voice paper does a really nice job of reading it back to me.  I can even set it to repeat so it will read it to me over & over again until I’m done.  It’s another great way for me to prepare to speak each week.  Not only does Voicepaper read my Evernote notes, it will also read from DropBox or from notes I simply copy & paste into it!  This app may not be for everyone, but it’s one that works for me & saves me time.
