Flashback to Senior Sunday 2014
In just a couple of weeks it will be time for Senior Sunday at Campus Church where I serve. As I was thinking & preparing for this special day. I always love getting the chance to preach on this day. It’s a chance to encourage our church, challenge our Seniors & dream about the future. Last year I encouraged our people to “Come Alive.” Jesus has a profound call upon our lives. But if we’re not careful we can miss it. Like His call to the boy in Luke 7:11-17 to rise from death to life Jesus calls us to come alive. To live in Life. But how often are we caught sleep walking through these days? Not fully embracing the Life that we have the opportunity to live in & embrace through Jesus of Nazareth? His call is for us to come alive! It’s an uprising He’s after. Some have heard Jesus’ call to come alive & ignored it choosing rather to live in death. Some have responded but spend all their days crawling back into the coffin. Some have heard & live the most extravagant lives in their faith. And some may hear Jesus’ call for the first time today – His call to come alive! And if that’s you, then I pray you hear His call. It’s an invitation to come alive. To follow hard after God. To live in Life.
