Who Is This Man? Jesus
Have you ever felt like you were fully known?
Have you ever had that kind of relationship where the other person could finish your sentences? Where it’s like they know what you’re thinking before you say it?
We all know what it’s like to want to know more about someone. But at some point, there’s this line we cross over in every relationship from knowing all about someone to knowing someone. That is, unless we don’t. For some of us this is a hard line to cross.
You see, there’s a difference between knowing all about someone & knowing someone. And when love is involved there is an insatiable appetite to know all about someone that then becomes a deep desire to know them.
It’s one thing to know all about someone, it’s another thing to know someone.
Do you know Jesus? Who is He to you? Have you crossed that threshold of knowing all about Him to actually knowing Him? Is He your friend or just your Savior? Is He your confidant or just the One who tells you what to do & what not to do.
Who is Jesus?
Do you know him? Or do you just know all about Him? Are you in a real & deep relationship with Him? Or do you just check in with him once a week? Jesus wants to know you. He wants a real & abiding relationship with you. He wants to be your friend, your ever present teacher & your God.
Jesus had many disciples. There were 12 He choose to follow Him everywhere. But two of those disciples were two of His closest friends. Their names were Mary & Martha. In this message we’ll walk through this story in John 11 not so we can know more about Jesus, but so we can come to know Him more.
And when you come to know Jesus you find that even when He’s not near, He’s near. Even when it seems as if Jesus is physically far away, he’s fully present & fully aware of what your going through. In fact, He knows more than you know about your own situation. And He cares. He already has an idea about how this is going to turn out. And here’s the best part, He’s working all things together for your good & for His Father’s ultimate glory.
Who is this man?
He is Friend.
He is Rabbi.
He is Messiah Jesus. He is God.
Do you know Him?
Jesus wants you to know Him today, not just know all about Him, but know Him.
